Burkhart Insurance – Committed to the Community
Burkhart Insurance Agency, Inc. is an independent insurance agency founded in 1958 and located in Vincennes, Indiana. Our mission has always been to provide you with the best insurance coverage possible to protect you, your loved ones, and your possessions, all while remaining a community-minded business dedicated to the development and upkeep of our city. We take great pride in our hometown and strive to maintain its historic, small town charm while continuing to support local economic growth. In an effort to spur the involvement of the whole town, the Burkhart Insurance Citywide Cleanup was born.
Event History
The annual event began in 2004 as a way to improve the aesthetics and safety of the community while promoting the endeavors of both local and national nonprofit organizations. Teams from Vincennes and the surrounding area dedicate the first Saturday of each May to collecting litter in designated areas. As a reward for their efforts, Burkhart Insurance donates $10 for each bag of trash that is collected to the nonprofit groups selected by the teams . To date, more than $50,000 have been donated as a result of the clean up.
